The Writing for Publication Workshop

Compare/аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥ offer a writing for publication programme for those in the field of educational research. The programme consists of an all day workshop, followed by individual mentoring by experienced peer reviewers for Compare.ÌýCompare Writers Programme Info Flyer

For those who are not able to travel to the UK to attend the in-person Workshop, the Compare Online Writing for Publication Programme  was launched in September 2011 and is available to support new writers to the journal.

Compare Writing Champions Grant

The Compare Writing Champions Grant is a new аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥ funding scheme intended to support ‘writing champions’ who have attended a аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥/Compare Writers’ workshop or symposium and who could implement academic writing activities to support colleagues’ development in their own institutions.

Applicants are invited to develop a proposal for an initiative that will be led/facilitated by a ‘writing champion’ in their institution which connects with the aims of the аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥/Compare Writers’ programme, particularly in relation to developing and implementing strategies to support new writers’ to successfully write and publish academic research articles.

Publication of Doctoral Abstracts

If you have recently successfully completed a doctoral thesis (including PhD, DPhil and Professional Doctorate) in the area of international and comparative education, you are invited to submit your thesis abstract for dissemination through аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥ and Compare. Journal editorials will publicise the availability of new theses, and provide a weblink to the abstract on the аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥ website. In the abstract, please highlight the ways in which your research contributes to the field of international and comparative education in particular. Your abstract should be no longer than 250 words, and include:

  • your full name
  • thesis title
  • title of the degree, the university where it was awarded, and the date it was awarded
  • your current institutional affiliation and contact details (including email address).
