Processing of your personal data

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Membership and Funding Application forms

We collect and process personal identifiers, contacts and characteristics (for example, name, contact details and bank details). Most of the personal information we process through membership form and funding applications is provided to us directly by you for one or more of the following reasons:

  • to provide membership services;
  • to evaluate funding applications;
  • to process payment of expenses of individuals and grants to individuals;
  • to organise conferences, workshops and seminars; and
  • to process payments to institutions running conferences other events funded by аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥.

Contact forms

Should you choose to contact us via our Contact аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥ page, none of the data that you supply will be stored by this website or passed to / processed by any third party data processor.

Who we share your data with

Personal data may be shared with аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥ conference organisers at different UK universities, UKFIET conference organisers and institutions organising workshops and seminars which are funded by аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥.

How long we retain your data

For users that register on our website (if any), we store the personal information they provide in their user profile. Users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Your information collected through the membership form and/or funding applications is securely stored in password-protected computer folders and emails of the аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥ executive committee members.

We keep your personal data:

  • for 2 years post announcement of grant and fellowship applications for grant and fellowship management purposes.
  • for up to 3 years post announcement of grant and fellowship applications for financial management purposes.
  • for 3 year post membership expiry date for membership management purposes.

We conduct an annual audit to dispose of your information by deleting the data in personal computers and emails after the above periods have passed.

What rights you have over your data
